Repair or replace?

Two things decide it: how big the damage is, and where it sits on the glass. Here is the rule of thumb Indi uses. Move over a line to see it on the screen.

Usually a repair

  • A chip smaller than a coin
  • A crack shorter than a banknote
  • Away from the edge of the glass
  • Not in the driver’s direct view
Quote a repair

Needs a replacement

  • Bigger than a coin or longer than a banknote
  • A crack that reaches the edge
  • Anything in the driver’s line of sight
  • Rear or side glass (it cannot be resin repaired)
